Once upon a time, in the Northern forest of a famous kingdom, strange monsters settled. Become a brave hero and help the King save his domain. The reward will be great.
Kingdom BIZZARIE is based on similar principle as the well-known game, Dixit. Thanks to interactive rules you will breath life into your own (and always diverse) fairytale characters, which will take you on many unforgettable adventures thanks to drawing, writing and humorous tests. And remember – whether you win or not, the right fairytale has always a happy end.
BIZZARIE’s story takes place in one bizzare fairytale kingdom. The king of this kingdom is very upset about having monsters in his Northern forest. Who would like to have monsters at home, right? King calls brave adventurers and scientists to go to the Northern forest to find out who those monsters are. Scientists dressed up as monsters not to be conspicuous, went to watch those supposed monsters. Early they find out that those monsters like to watch TV and talk about shows they have watched. Who ever is a scientist’s or adventurers will understand those mysterious monsters best, will be wealthily treated by the King.
Game is in the same category as the well known game Dixit. Players will find parts of monster’s faces in the box. They will built the faces drawing their bodies on white papers with a marker. There are also cards with TV news from BIZZARIE. Players react to the news read through their monsters by drawing comic bubbles to monsters head and fill them in with any comments. This way the monster’s character develops and from a mystery monster an interesting individual comes into existence.
Monster’s characteristics are determined by their appearance and mainly by what they say and do. Monsters will have different character every time the game is played because players themselves create their own situations to the particular monster.
There are also cards with questions, which differ in several categories (kids, teenagers, adults and intellectuals + surprise). Cards give questions like „who from the monsters is the most such-and-such monster“. Then players have to properly take a look at the monsters and determine what monster is most probably the such-and-such monster. They will note down their tips to prepared chart and which are evaluated at the end of the round. Game is lightly psychological because players try to perceive monster’s characters intention. Game is also a little creative because player draws and writes short comments to monsters into the comic bubbles. And this game is mainly fun because the questions are formulated humorously, TV news are bizzare enough and game situations are comic.
